Set within a traditionally built Pueblo that mirrors magnificently the little picturesque village of Mijas, with its white-washed buildings and narrow winding streets, stairs and piazza’s lined with flowers and plants, with magnificent views of the surrounding pine clad mountains and of the coast below.

This main door apartment has an Andalucian ambiance with its decorative window boxes and fountain piazza which offers the added benefit to enjoy out door living.

Designed with open plan living which lends to a bright and spacious apartment, with four patio doors opening to standing balconies and street life views, from living area and kitchen. Newly refurbished with granite work tops and integrated kitchen appliances. An open log stone fire place, and dining area that caters up to four persons, a twin sofa bed, arm chair and coffee table, with double windows that offer views to the front piazza and a slight glimpse of the pine clad mountains behind, a light and airy bedroom with two double windows, double bed and traditional Andalucian furniture, and built in wardrobes.
Family sized bathroom newly refurbished with shower and bath, with rustic wall lights and a quaint little arched bathroom window with frosted glass adding more to the Andalucian feel. Marble flooring throughout, and traditional wooden Andalucian doors and windows, air-conditioning and ceiling fans.

History
One of the prettiest and oldest villages in Spain, this traditional village full of history and Andalusia life with its narrow streets white washed buildings, piazza’s and churches which also hosts one of the oldest bull rink in Spain all adding to the tradition and culture with its breathtaking views and charm.

Set in The pine clad mountains ‘Sierra Di Mijas’ creating the perfect back drop of this little Andalucian village. And adding to its magical ambience set up in the pine clad mountain sits the little white washed chapel that over looks and protects this little village, and in the evening in the night sky when the mountain can no longer be seen this little chapel lights up, as if elevated in mid air, becoming part of the night sky amongst the stars and moon. Tended to daily with fresh flowers, so for those who enjoy hiking the climb up to this little white washed chapel is well worth it for the magnificent views.

Although Mijas caters for the tourist with its local restaurants and quaint little shops it still retains much of its charm, full of history and tradition, which can all be toured on the famous Donkey taxis. Annually held concerts and fiestas you are very much apart of the Andalucian life.

Location
20 minutes from Malaga airport, Mijas is an ideal holiday location for those who prefer to experience the magic of village life, with everything within walking distance both day and evening and with a coastal bus root running every 15 minutes when preferred, so there is no need for a car, and for those who enjoy exploring other areas of Andalusia, Mijas is an ideal central location with the main roads of Coin directly behind and the new toll roads connecting with the Mijas mountain road below.

Notes of Interest
Famous for its natural Mineral water spring at the entrance to the village, a few yards from the Nuevo Pueblo apartment. Mijas is also the home town of Antonio Banderas' family

About Mijas


Mijas - One of the prettiest villages in Spain, this traditional village has breathtaking views. Tour this charming village on the famous Donkey taxis & lookout for the Mineral water spring at the entrance to the village. The beaches at La Cala have been awarded the "Blue Flag" as among the best in the province and are geared to provide action: jet skis, water skiing & parasending are all on the go.

Mijas has the finest views of the Costa Del Sol. The village has 138 restaurants offering all types of cuisine. An average full meal of the day is 7 euros with plentiful choice of bars. Local street vendors selling roasted nuts and Donkey taxis that do several tours around the village. There is an active bull ring, horse race course, museum and shops of all types.

From Mijas various trips go to Tangiers, Gibraltar Ronda and other interesting venues. like the amazing caves of Nerja. Close by is Water World, Fuengirolla Zoo, and the aquarium at Benlamadina which is a must for kids. The new motor way is only 3 kilometers away giving access to the entire Costa. The Mijas area also has 34 golf courses all within easy reach.
